Great post. Isn't sad that as believers so many of us have had that light bulb moment where we were like, "Wow God isn't angry with me". We should know it if we are believers. The problem is so many of us have grown up in well meaning churches that misrepresent God. Rob Rufus mentions the oath that God made in Isiah 54 alot in his messages. This has helped me to start, and I do mean start, to live as if it is true. Thanks for yet another reminder.

Thanks for the comment, Aaron. It's so true that much of the church has made God's promises out to be something that we have to work to fulfill. God fulfilled everything in Christ, and our "job" is to live in the fulfilled promises of God!
But this does take constant renewing of the mind. To me, that's a big part of what growing in grace is about. Being reminded and re-reminded of the solid truth, and meditating upon it and soaking it in. Our spirits are established in grace, one with God and seated in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus! This is all quite literal. But our minds and hearts have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to realizing and fully appropriating the truth of who we really are in Christ. I'm so thankful that the truth is being spread through people such as Rob Rufus and many others who I like to read and listen to.
